The human eye is the organ which gives us the sense of sight, allowing us to learn more about the surrounding world than we do with any of the other four senses. Like any other organ in the body, the eye is also susceptible to various diseases and infections. Many eye conditions can be remedied if they are detected and treated early.

The MyEyeMatters app, developed by the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), offers comprehensive educational information on various eye conditions, symptoms, prevention, treatment and useful eye care tips. With a simple-to-use user interface, the app offers the ability to view, explore, learn, locate and share the information.

This app will:
1.Allow easy access to eye-related information such as common eye symptoms and eye conditions.
3.Offer educational information to keep patients and their caregivers informed about pre and post-surgical care.
4.Provide convenient, mobile availability of educational video and everyday eye care tips.
5.Enable users and patients to find their specialists in SNEC and make appointments

A great tool for addressing patient education, this app will help patients and their caregivers better understand what is going on with their eyes, why they are receiving certain procedures or medications, and how to take care of themselves after their eye operations.

Download the other useful apps developed by SNEC:
•MyEyeGym – Eye Exercises for restoring binocular vision/stereopsis or 3D vision, for persons suffering from squints (strabismus).
•MyEyeDrops – Medication/eye drop reminder for glaucoma patients and their caregivers. The app will indicate the right eye drops for the right eye at the right time.
